HELEN JEFFERY PROFESSIONAL CAREERS AND LIFE COACH
My passion is to help people make positive changes in their lives, by overcoming obstacles. I love seeing people make changes which bring out their potential and make them feel happier.
Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary. As a coach I am personable, yet challenging. I love to hear about clients trying out different approaches or doing something new. The change doesn’t have to be big, often small steps are the key to bigger successes.
I am passionate about my work. Working for myself also enables me to spend time raising my family. Like many people I have lots of things to juggle, so life can be busy. I like to spend my free time being outdoors, either walking, running or cycling. Music also helps me unwind, as does drinking coffee with good friends!
HOW I COACH
Often clients want to make a change in their lives, but are unsure what that change is or how to take the first steps. Using questioning techniques and coaching tools I help clients decide what they want and explore options, make decisions and set goals.
No two people are the same. It is key to me that I understand your needs and what you want from coaching. If you choose me as your coach, it is also important that you know how I coach and what my style is. I offer a complimentary chat so we can discuss this.
- I’ve helped clients to:-
- seek a promotion
- find new a new career direction
- become self-employed
- create a life with more balance
- feel more confident about an interview
- use redundancy to make positive changes
- discover a new passion or hobby
- feel more confident about themselves
My background is Human Resources and Training and I have spent over 20 years working in business. All of my roles have involved coaching and training people.
- This has included helping people to:-
- develop their strengths using SHL personality profiling and coaching
- find out what motivates them at work
- develop ways of effectively managing different situations at work
I’ve also helped many people cope with redundancy, using it as a catalyst for positive change. As an HR Manager I implemented a support programme for people being made redundant. Through Inner Rhythms, I have provided careers coaching and training to employees being made redundant from an automotive company. Also, working as an Associate for CMC, I gave interview coaching to managers being made redundant.
During my career I’ve experienced redundancy myself, changed from working full-time to part-time and in 2009 set up my own coaching business. I’ve had coaching myself so know how empowering and motivating it can be when someone helps you to focus on what you want and overcome barriers. I now work as a careers, life and interview coach and am also an Associate Facilitator for DPG plc.
My relevant coaching qualifications and training are listed below. Although these are important, I believe it is my experience of life and coaching that helps me empathise with people and coach well.
- Life Coaching Diploma and NLP Diploma
- NLP Coaching Diploma and NLP Practitioner Certificate
- SHL Psychometric Testing
- Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources
- Member of the CIPD and Member of the Association of Coaching
